Service Notes and Maintenance
Our stainless steel slides are quality products manufactured in accordance with EN1176 and EN1069. They are made using first-class materials only to meet even the highest expectations. To make sure that you can take a lot of pleasure in the slide you have purchased for a long time, it is necessary to carry out some regular maintenance work. Any tools and equipment required for this purpose can be ordered from us as the special atlantics maintenance kit.
Service Notes - What Should Be Done and When?
Two weeks after assembly of the slides any visible scratches or signs of corrosion that may result from hidden damages to the slide's surface that might be caused during transport or assembly or any subsequent work in the direct surroundings of the slides (e.g. setting up of safety or paved surfaces) are to be removed by means of the atlantics maintenance kit.

Periodic in-depth inspection of the slide is to be carried out, which should also be documented, e.g. in a log book, in case of any future damage. The following points are to be inspected particularly thoroughly:
  • slides for any damages, such as cracking and deformation (commission atlantics)
burr formation or signs of corrosion (remove those using the maintenance kit)
  • bolted connections for tightness (re-tighten where required)
  • foundations for sufficient safety surface (replenish if required)
  • cleanliness around the slide (remove litter, such as glass, tins, animal excrements)
Once a year or prior to the start of the play or swimming season the slide should be inspected by the TÜV or a technical expert in accordance with the regulations of the Gemeinde-Unfallversicherungsverband (GUV). In such an inspection, particular attention is paid to any hidden damages, such as rust, welding cracks, deformations and to the direct surroundings of the slide. You can also ask atlantics to carry out this annual repeated inspection.

With private insurers, the inspection interval has to be agreed on individually with the insurer. You can also authorise us to arrange for the inspection and the technical safety acceptance.

Please note Record any maintenance and repair work, e.g. in a log book! Please make sure that exclusively original parts are used for any replacement of worn or faulty parts or for re-fitting to guarantee safety and serviceability of the slide and at the same time to ensure continued validity of the CE sign and warranty!
Maintenance
Only for water slides: Prior to the start of the annual bathing season the complete slide has to be cleaned thoroughly using an acid cleaning agent (C) and the fleece pad (D). Depending on the degree of soiling, cleaning might also be carried out locally. Please note Follow the instructions for use as shown on the packaging and make sure that you wear protective gloves (E) and goggles (F).

In case of any scratches and unevenness please use the superabrasive (A) to level and smooth those. Following pleas polish the affected spots using the polishing fleece (B) in order to re-create a homogeneous surface. Please note Goggles (F) must be worn for that activity. As mechanical processing of the stainless steel surface results in a damaged oxide coating, such work may only be carried out if the slide is not subject to humidity and rain for at least 24 hours following the maintenance activities. That time is required for the re-creation of the damaged oxide coating, so that repeated corrosion of the polished spots can be ruled out.

For spot or zonal corrosion of dry slides, please use the polishing fleece (B) to polish any affected spots.

In case of any spot or zonal corrosion of water slides, please treat the affected spots with the acid cleaning agent (C) using the fleece pad (D). Please note Follow the instructions for use as shown on the packaging and make sure that you wear protective gloves (E) and goggles (F).
