| A Piece of Art of a Special Kind |
|
The Munich-based artist Gregor Passens won the art contest for the new construction of the University Medical Centre of Freiburg / Baden Württemberg by submitting his draft of a giant life saver buoy. Upon extensive research he found out about our manufactory and ordered atlantics GmbH to turn this sculpture into reality.
Having a diameter of 1.40 metre, a total diameter of the ring of 8.50 metres and a more than 20.00 metre long life-line it is believed to be the world’s largest life saver presently. Now this project has been implemented and can be seen adorning the connecting walkway between the old and new hospital building in Freiburg. |
