|
| Are theses slides also suitable for adults? |
|
Yes, as all evacuation slides at atlantics’ are manufactured with a diameter
of 80 cm which is more than the required 75cm by the EN1176. |

| The slides look steep, what about the sliding speed? |
|
| Gradients of 30 up to maximum 60 degree are permissible, in total, however, not more than 40 degree. atlantics manufactures average gradients of 37 degree. In order to safely slow down sliding persons atlantics manufactures slide exits of a length greater than required by the norm. |

| What height is permissible for the slide exit? |
|
| The EN1176 stipulates heights ranging from 0 to maximum 350 mm. |
|
| Is it possible to climb up the slides? |
|
| Although it cannot be ruled out, it will be very difficult. Children will give it a try just for the sake of challenge. They will, however, safely slide down once they lost their grip. Potential burglars would most likely look for other, easier ways to get into the building. The slide exit must under no circumstances be closed! |

| Will the slides get hot? |
|
| Stainless steel is a very poor heat conductor, which means that although the surface of the tunnel might get hot in the case of direct insolation, the inner, shady slide area will remain at normal temperatures. Besides, no warm air will get trapped in the tunnel as the warm air will rise due to the chimney effect and cool air will follow from the lower area. This also leads to the slide being smoke free in case of an fire. |

| Is it dark in the interior of the slide? |
|
| Normally, the interior of the slide will be sufficiently light thanks to daylight reflection on the stainless steel
surface. Only in case of very high slides this brightness will be reduced. In such cases Plexiglas portholes
can optionally be installed by atlantics. |

| What is going to happen to the slide if it is no longer required as an evacuation slide? |
|
| Thanks to the stainless steel quality and the slide’s manufacture in accordance with EN1176 you purchased a product of lasting value which can also be used on playgrounds. Should you be interested in this option, we will be happy to provide you an offer for its implementation. |

| Can I decorate the slide surface by myself? |
|
| Yes, sure! There are no limits to your imagination. Decorate your slide with motifs or writing made by the
children and you will have your very special and unique evacuation slide. Any materials required for
decoration can be purchased from atlantics (see page 20 and following) (siehe ab Seite 20). |
